Trending Questions on Mahindra Cars - Answered by Autocar Experts
I currently own a Maruti Suzuki S-Presso VXi. While I like its compact size and ground clearance, I now feel the need for a proper 5-seater car. My driving includes about 200 km per month within Bangalore city and around 4,000 km of long-distance travel annually. Could you suggest an automatic car with good ground clearance, a high seating position, and a comfortable rear seat for three passengers?
Check out the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. It has a relatively compact sub-four-metre footprint, but still manages to be spacious for five adults, thanks to its boxy and tall design. This design also affords it a tall seating position, and visibility is great all around. And since you're already in the Maruti Suzuki ecosystem, it will be an easy transition, and you could even ask them for a loyalty bonus.
The Brezza's 1.5-litre petrol is not exceptionally powerful, but it is sufficient, and its 6-speed automatic gearbox is smooth and seamless with its shifts. The best part, however, is that it's incredibly fuel-efficient, which should make your annual long drives a little easier on the pocket. Ground clearance is a substantial 198mm, and the suspension is well-tuned for comfort and stability.
Another alternative is the Mahindra XUV 3XO, which also has a wide second row bench and strong petrol and diesel engines as well. But its driving position isn't as tall, and it isn't particularly fuel efficient.
I am currently using a 2018 Skoda Rapid diesel automatic (top-end) with 1,75,000 km on the odometer. I drive both on highways and in the city and am now looking to upgrade to a diesel vehicle that offers good power, comfort, and safety. My budget is around โน25 lakh, and I am open to both 5-seater and 7-seater SUVs. I have not driven a petrol vehicle so far. Which SUV would be a good choice for me?
Go for the Mahindra XUV 7XO Diesel AT as it fits your criteria. Coming from a Rapid diesel AT, youโll appreciate the XUV 7XOโs 2.2โlitre diesel engine that's refined and punchy and paired with a smooth 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It makes for a seamless drive in the city and out on highways.
You also get the flexibility of a third row of seats, and the 7XO comes loaded with safety kit like 6 airbags, traction control and Level 2 ADAS tech. Although it hasn't been crash tested yet, the pre-facelift XUV 700 did receive a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP, which should bode well for the XUV 7XO as well. It also has a spacious and comfortable cabin that has features like a triple screen setup, panoramic sunroof and ventilated front and middle row seats.
I am looking for an automatic car. It will be driven mostly in Trivandrum city and will do a monthly long drive of 500km. Please suggest a good option between 10-12 lakh, on-road in Trivandrum.
One of my close friends wants to purchase a new vehicle with a budget of โน40 lakh. He is looking at the SUV market. Can you recommend the best option?
Hi team, I owned a Harrier XT Plus six months ago and am now planning to buy a new car. My budget is โน10 to โน15 lakh. I have shortlisted the Mahindra XUV 7XO base variant and the Roxx base. My usage is 500 to 800 km per week. Please suggest if these are good options, considering the base models, and advise on any other suggestions.
Hi, I am buying a new car, but Iโm confused between the Tata Safari Adventure X Plus petrol automatic, Mahindra XUV 7XO AX7 petrol automatic, and Tata Safari Accomplished petrol automatic.
I was driving a Nexon MT and now want to upgrade to an automatic. I am getting confused between Creta, 3XO, etc. I am suffering from lower back pain, so my main focus is on safety and suspension. Kindly suggest a better fit for my requirement.
Hi, Iโm planning to buy a new car in Delhi NCR. The car will be mostly used in the city, with occasional highway drives. There are some tax benefits if I buy a car with an engine larger than 1.6L. What recommendations can I get in that segment? My requirements are ride quality, safety, and reliability.
Hello Autocar, we have shortlisted a few petrol automatic options around โน15 lakh on-road budget that seem to fit our requirements: Skoda Kylaq Signature+, Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5L, Tata Nexon Creative+, and Hyundai Venue HX8. We are also wondering whether it would be worth waiting for the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift before making a decision. Considering our priorities: ease of driving for first-time drivers, rear-seat comfort for family use, safety, reliability, and low maintenance over 10 years. Which of these petrol automatic variants would you recommend as the best overall choice for us? Also, are there any major pros or cons we should be aware of these models in terms of long-term ownership and service experience? Thank you!
My yearly running is 15,000 km, mainly on highways. I am searching for a car that provides good safety and very comfortable rear seats for long journeys, as I have elders who travel with me. Good thigh support for long journeys is important. My budget is โน12 lakh. Which car should I consider, and which fuel type?
