Sunroofs have become a near-ubiquitous feature in India’s mass-market models owing to immense demand from buyers. They were mostly seen in the premium end of the price spectrum, but these days, sunroofs are available even in cars priced under Rs 10 lakh.
To that end, we've assembled a list of the most affordable cars in India with a single-pane sunroof. The rankings are in descending order of the price of each car's cheapest sunroof-equipped trim level.
Note: Images of the top-spec trims of the cars are used for representation only. Only sunroof-equipped variants priced under Rs 10 lakh are included in the tables.
10. Hyundai Venue
Available from HX5 trim onwards, prices start at Rs 9.55 lakh

Launched in late 2025, the second-gen Hyundai Venue comes with a sunroof starting from its HX5 trim. The Venue HX5 is available with all three of the compact SUV's engine options: an 83hp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 120hp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 116hp 1.5-litre diesel.
However, the diesel engine exceeds the Rs 10 lakh mark, so your only options in this case are the petrol engines. Similarly, gearbox options within the budget include a 5-speed MT and 6-speed MT only.
9. Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Available in ZXI+ trim only, prices start at Rs 8.86 lakh

As the only sedan on this list, the Maruti Dzire offers a sunroof solely in its top-spec ZXI+ trim. The Dzire ZXI+ offers 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options with the compact sedan's sole 82hp 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine. The Dzire is also the cheapest Maruti Suzuki car to offer a sunroof.
8. Mahindra XUV 3XO
Available from the RevX M (O) trim, prices start at Rs 8.71 lakh

A single-pane sunroof on the Mahindra XUV 3XO is available from the RevX M (O) trim, which is powered by a 111hp 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Notably, a panoramic sunroof is included in the equipment list from the XUV 3XO AX7 trim onwards.
Interestingly, the RevX A trim, priced at Rs 10.86 lakh, makes the XUV 3XO the most affordable car in India to offer a panoramic sunroof. So, if you’re considering buying this Mahindra, a slight budget stretch can net you a larger sunroof.
7. Tata Nexon
Available from the Smart + S trim, prices start at Rs 8.30 lakh
The Tata Nexon comes with a sunroof starting from its Smart + S trim. This Nexon trim can be had with one of these three powertrains: an 88hp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 5-speed manual, an 85hp 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine with a 6-speed manual, and a 74hp petrol-CNG setup paired with a 6-speed manual.
Like the XUV 3XO, the Nexon is available with a panoramic sunroof as well. However, this feature is available from the higher-spec Nexon Creative + PS trim, which falls well outside the Rs 10 lakh mark.
6. Skoda Kylaq
Available from the Classic+ trim, priced at Rs 8.25 lakh for the MT

The one-above-base Kylaq Classic+ trim, which joined the line-up in January 2026, has made it the most affordable Skoda car to offer a sunroof. This Kylaq trim is powered by a sole 115hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with both manual and automatic gearbox options. Notably, this is also the most affordable trim in the Kylaq variant line-up to offer a torque-converter gearbox option.
5. Hyundai Exter
Available from HX4+ trim onwards, prices start at Rs 8.06 lakh

Hyundai rolled out a 2026 facelift for the Exter that rejigged the subcompact SUV's variant line-up and nomenclature significantly. A single-pane sunroof is now offered in more expensive trims of the updated Exter, thereby dropping its place in the rankings compared to the older model. Specifically, a sunroof is available from the mid-spec Exter HX4+ trim onwards.
The Exter is available with a sole 1.2-litre engine in 83hp petrol and 69hp CNG guises. Both get a 5-speed manual as standard, while the petrol additionally offers a 5-speed AMT.
5. Kia Sonet
Available from the HTE (O) trim, prices start at Rs 7.70 lakh
While the Kia Sonet is a generation behind the new Venue, it does offer the same engine options and a much cheaper starting price for the sunroof-equipped variants. A single-pane sunroof joins the equipment list from the Sonet HTE(O) variant onwards.
In this trim level, the Sonet's 120hp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is not available, but you can have the compact SUV with its 116hp 1.5-litre diesel engine option – both in manual and automatic guises – under Rs 10 lakh. This makes the Sonet the cheapest diesel-automatic car in India to offer a sunroof.
4. Tata Altroz
Available from the Pure S trim, prices start at Rs 7.36 lakh

The Tata Altroz gets a sunroof from the Pure S trim onwards, which is offered with both petrol and CNG options. Petrol variants feature a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine producing 88hp and 115Nm, mated to either a 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT, or 6-speed DCT.
As for the 74hp Altroz Pure S CNG, only the manual gearbox is available. Notably, the 90hp diesel engine option in the Creative S trim makes the Altroz the cheapest diesel car in India that's equipped with a sunroof.
3. Tata Punch
Available from the Pure + S trim, prices start at Rs 7.34 lakh

Freshened up for 2026 and beyond, the Tata Punch comes with a single-pane sunroof from the Pure + S trim onwards, which is available with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine in 88hp petrol and 73hp CNG guises.
Gearbox options for the Punch Pure + S include a 5-speed manual for the petrol and CNG versions, with the former additionally offering a 5-speed AMT. If you want a sunroof with the Punch's more potent 120hp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, your only option is the fully-loaded Punch Accomplished+ S trim, which costs Rs 9.79 lakh.
1. Hyundai i20
Available from Magna trim onwards, prices start at Rs 7 lakh

Following the February 2026 update for the Hyundai i20, the hatchback currently stands as the cheapest car with a sunroof in India. A single-pane sunroof is available starting from the i20 Magna trim, which is powered by an 83hp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine with manual and automatic transmission options. Higher-spec i20 variants add voice-powered operation to the sunroof too.
Notably, the sportier i20 N Line also offers a single-pane sunroof from its base N6 trim onwards, priced at Rs 9.22 lakh. The i20 N Line is available with a stronger 120hp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which does duty in the Sonet and Venue too.
All prices are ex-showroom, India.
