Tata confirms four new electric SUVs by early 2024

    Apart from the Nexon EV facelift, electric versions of the Punch, Harrier and Curvv are also incoming.

    Tata Motors has confirmed its EV roadmap with as many as four new SUVs coming by early next year, including the Nexon EV facelift and the Curvv EV.

    1. Tata Nexon EV facelift launch by September
    2. Harrier EV launch will come next
    3. Curvv EV to arrive early next year

    Four new Tata EV SUVs, launch timeline

    The updated Tata Nexon EV is expected by late September, which will likely be followed by the Harrier EVPunch EV and the Curvv EV SUV.

    Addressing the shareholders, N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons said, "Tata Motors India, as well as JLR has extensive plans on EVs. We have launched a number of products already. We have a new upgraded Nexon, which will be launched any time this year. We will then be launching the Harrier, Punch and finally the Curvv towards the first quarter next year.” He added that by 2030, 50 percent of Tata Motors' passenger vehicles and 65 percent of JLR vehicles will run on green technology

    JLR EV launches lined up globally

    Chandrasekaran said that there are extensive product launch plans for JLR too, and elucidated that the company will start taking bookings for the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport EVs this October, before the new Jaguar EVs hit the roads in 2025.

    Tata Motors and JLR had also announced last month that they will build a battery factory for EVs in the United Kingdom, which will have a capacity of 40GW.
