A decade of elegance and excellence

First organised by Autocar India in association with Mercedes-Benz in 2014, the Mercedes-Benz Classic Car Rally (MBCCR) is the gold standard for vintage and classic car rallies. Over the past decade, it has grown to be among the world's premier automotive events and revived and encouraged interest in vintage and classic Mercedes in India. The MBCCR has created a vibrant community of both seasoned and renowned vintage and classic car collectors and restorers as well as a younger generation of enthusiasts who are taking their first steps into the world of Mercedes-Benz classics. Some of the special cars that have graced the event since its inception include publisher Viveck Goenka's S-Class collection, Pratapsinh Gaekwad's 230SL Pagoda, Gautam Singhania's 300S Adenauer cabriolet, Yash Ruia's 1929 Nurburg and HH..Yuvraj Himanshu of Gondal's 300 SL.

The 10th-anniversary edition of the rally had over 75 cars on display, and about 50 percent of the cars on show made their debuts or appeared after a major restoration process. The sheer number of debuts pointed to the tremendous impact the MBCCR had and the role it played in reviving the romance of Mercedes-Benz classics.
