India’s two-wheeler industry posted record sales in the year gone by, surpassing the 2 crore-unit mark. Sales numbers for the last month of 2025 have come in, and here’s how each of the big six two-wheeler brands in India performed.
Hero: 4,19,243 units
Hero retained its top spot in the market, albeit with a significant 26.52 percent decline in comparison to its festive-season-aided November 2025 sales of 5,70,520 units. However, in comparison to December 2024 (2,94,152 units), it reported a 42.53 percent increase. Exports, too, rose to 37,236 units in December from 33,970 units in the prior month.
Recently, Hero updated its sporty 160cc commuter – the Xtreme 160R 4V – with a new design and a segment-first feature.
Honda: 3,92,306 units
Honda continues to trail Hero in the marketplace, and in December, it reported a rather large 26.49 percent decrease compared to its sales for November 2025 (5,33,645 units). However, sales were up 44.81 percent compared to December 2024’s total of 2,70,919 units. Even exports saw a small drop from November 2025, down from 57,491 units to 53,742 units.
Honda is working on bringing the Rebel 300 to India later this year, and a new localised electric scooter too is in the offing, one that will address the shortcomings of its debut electric scooters.
TVS: 3,30,362 units
TVS, too, reported a month-on-month sales decline – the December tally was down 9.64 percent from November’s 3,65,608 units. However, the Hosur-based company reported a 53.60 percent jump over December 2024’s sales of 2,15,075 units. It bears mentioning that TVS doesn’t bundle the sales of its iQube electric scooter – one of India’s bestselling e-scooters – into the above numbers. TVS is the country’s second-largest exporter of two-wheelers, with 1,30,709 units sent abroad in December 2025, a slight dip from the 1,32,233 units shipped in November.
Recently, TVS launched a new variant in its Ronin line-up, called the Agonda Edition, and the company will soon start scaling up the deliveries of its Apache RTX 300 adventure bike.
Bajaj: 1,32,228 units
Following the trend of monthly sales decline, Bajaj’s tally decreased 34.71 percent from November’s 2,02,510 units, but it reported a small 3.03 percent increase over December 2024 (1,28,335 units). Do note that sales of the Chetak electric scooter – one of the top-selling EVs in India – are counted into the above numbers. Bajaj remains India’s number one exporter of two-wheelers with 1,78,125 units shipped in December 2025, a small increase from 1,77,204 units in the previous month.
Bajaj recently updated its Classic Pulsar models with some new features before these bikes undergo a proper generation change later in the year.
Suzuki: 97,823 units
Bucking the trend, Suzuki actually reported a 1.52 percent sales increase in comparison to November 2025 (96,360 units). It reported an even bigger 24.09 percent surge over December 2024 (78,834 units). As for exports, there was a small dip, as it sent 24,543 units overseas in December, down from 25,940 units in November.
Suzuki is readying an all-new Gixxer portfolio, which is expected to debut at the end of 2026, and you can also expect the long-overdue e-Access to launch in the coming weeks.
Royal Enfield: 93,177 units
Just like Suzuki, Royal Enfield also stood out as its sales rose 3.07 percent over November 2025 (90,405 units). It reported an even bigger year-on-year increase with sales rising 37.24 percent over December 2024’s 67,891 units. RE’s exports also rose marginally to 10,397 units in December as compared to 10,265 units in November 2025.
Royal Enfield is likely to launch the new Bullet 650 soon, and you can also expect the Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Goan Classic 350 to be updated with the slip/assist clutch seen on their siblings.
