Yamaha launched its first electric scooter in collaboration with River Indie EV and entered the electric scooter segment with the EC-06. This electric scooter is powered by a motor that produces 6.7 kW of peak power, making it one of the highest peak powers in the premium commuter segment. It comes with a 4 kWh battery and delivers an impressive 169 km of IDC-certified range on a full charge.

The scooter has three riding modes (Eco, Standard, Power), which allow riders to choose between efficiency and performance. Also features 14-inch alloy wheels, which are relatively rare in the electric scooter segment. It also gets a dual-pod vertically stacked LED headlight that gives the scooter a distinctive and modern front face.

The Yamaha EC 06 price is 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the on-road price is around Rs. 1.85 lakh. However, the final Yamaha EC 06 price may vary depending on state-wise EV subsidies, registration charges and insurance costs. Yamaha EC-06 mileage

The Yamaha EC-06 comes with three riding modes that allow riders to balance performance and range according to their needs. In terms of range, Yamaha claims an IDC-certified riding range of up to 169km on a full charge. 

The company also claims a top speed of 79kmph for the electric scooter. However, some user tests have suggested that the scooter can achieve a GPS-verified top speed of around 91kmph, with the instrument console displaying a similar figure as well.
