I currently drive a Jeep Compass Diesel 4x2 and want to change my vehicle within a budget of Rs. 25-30 lakh. My annual running is around 10,000 km, with most of my driving being in the city and 4-5 highway trips a year. Please suggest whether I should go for an EV, petrol or diesel. I have shortlisted the following models: Mahindra XUV 7XO, Mahindra XEV 9e, Toyota Innova Hycross, and Kia Seltos Or is there any other option I should consider? Please suggest.

Hi sir, Among xuv 7xo and tata harrier, ride and handling wise which car do you think is better? Which one is better in handling bad roads and has good handling at highway speeds? What is your pick. My usage will be primarily as a 5 seater. Would be great if you can do a short comparision of pros and cons of both these cars? I am planning to go with diesel automatic.

I own a kwid rxt, in a few months want to buy a new car, i narrowed down kia clavis petrol automatic and xuv 7xo diesel, clavis felt very refined and powerful but would have to use usb for android auto and heard reviews that engine is troublesome. Not sure how true that is. Xuv 7xo has unmatched power and buid quality is solid. However, the 3rd is not much usable and no boot space with all rows up. I dont want to go for xuv 7xo petrol because of its poor mileage. My usage is 50 km daily with 1 to 2 highway trips in a month. Please suggest which is best?

My biggest priorities are low running costs over the long term, reliability and hassle-free ownership, good drivability in city traffic, and choosing a vehicle that I can comfortably keep for the next 7-10 years. I have a few questions. First, is a modern diesel automatic a sensible choice for someone who drives only 30-40 km a day in the city? I've heard concerns about DPF regeneration and whether diesel vehicles are suitable for predominantly urban driving. Would my daily usage be enough to avoid such issues? Second, if my driving pattern remains the same, would you recommend the XUV 7XO Diesel Automatic over the Petrol Automatic, or would the petrol variant be the better long-term choice? I've also been reading discussions suggesting that diesel fuel could gradually see higher blends of isobutanol or other biofuels in the future, similar to how ethanol blending has increased in petrol. Is this something buyers should genuinely be concerned about over the next 7-10 years, or is it unlikely to affect the reliability and longevity of modern diesel engines? From this perspective, would you still consider a diesel vehicle a safe long-term investment?
