BMW i5 LWB
The i5 LWB is BMW’s all-electric mid-size luxury sedan, and is also the EV counterpart to the ICE-powered 5 Series LWB. Currently, BMW only sells the i5 sedan in standard wheelbase guise with the powerful M60 variant. The model will be locally assembled BMW's Chennai facility.
Based on the China-spec i5, the India-spec i5 LWB will come with changes to suit local driving conditions. It will slot between the 530Li and i5 M60 in the 5 Series line-up. The sedan is expected to be priced between Rs 90 lakh and Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom).
The BMW i5 LWB will be an electric alternative to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
