Honda Prelude

The Honda Prelude is a popular sports coupe from the 1970s, which has been revived in 2026 as a hybrid model. Honda is planning to bring the Prelude coupe to India by 2027 as a fully-imported model. 

The Honda Prelude engine option includes a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with a dual-motor hybrid setup that has a system output of 200hp. Overseas, it is available in a single fully-loaded trim with both monotone and dual-tone options.

The Honda Prelude mileage ranges between 17-19kpl.

The Honda Prelude colour options include 5 exterior hues, including Crystal Black Pearl, Meteorite Gray Metallic, Rallye Red, Boost Blue Pearl and Winter Frost Pearl. Inside, it offers a choice between an all-black cabin and a black and white theme.

The Honda Prelude price in India is expected to be Rs 80 lakh, which will serve a niche audience base. 

Key Highlights of the Honda Prelude

• The 2026 Honda Prelude has retained its 2-door coupe look with a long bonnet and a sloping roof. 
• It gets sleek LED projector headlights and a slim grille, along with a huge air intake channel on the bumper and a black front splitter.
• In profile, it features flush-type door handles and 19-inch alloy wheels that get an option between a black or a dual-tone finish.
• The rear features an LED light bar with Honda and Prelude lettering written underneath it, along with a gloss-black bumper for added contrast.
• Inside, it features a layered dashboard design with a 3-spoke steering wheel, a 10.2-inch digital driver’s display and a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen.
• Other features include an 8-speaker Bose sound system and a wireless phone charger. 
• It also gets two sport seats with leatherette upholstery, and the rear bench seat is more suitable for children.  
• It does not get a manual gearbox, but instead features a “S+ Shift” simulated manual system that mimics gear changes.
