Honda ZR-V
Based on the Honda Architecture (HA) that underpins the Civic and CR-V, the ZR-V comes as Honda’s flagship offering in India. The midsize SUV will be imported from Japan in limited batches as completely built units (CBUs), because of which the Honda ZR-V price in India is expected to be between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). At that price bracket, the Honda ZR-V rivals include the Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tiguan and Volkswagen Tayron.
While some global markets get the ZR-V with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, the India-spec model comes with a 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain. Customers in India have just one variant of the Honda ZR-V to choose from. The midsize SUV gets slender LED headlamps with L-shaped DRLs and sequential turn indicators, 18-inch alloy wheels, full-LED tail lamps and dual exhaust tips.
The Honda ZR-V’s minimalistic but mostly black interior gets a dash-mounted touchscreen, a digital driver’s display, a button-operated gear selector, and a single grille pattern on the dash that houses the front AC vents. The model that’s coming to India was first introduced in the US in 2022.
