Bajaj’s product pipeline is usually more of a mystery than most other manufacturers, and further adding to the puzzle are some recent names trademarked by the company. It has filed trademarks for ‘Bajaj Aura’, ‘Bajaj Racer’, and ‘Bajaj Hammer’.

As for what models these nametags could end up on, nobody outside Bajaj knows for sure. Aura sounds like a name that belongs on a premium electric scooter, perhaps something based on the electric platform that Bajaj is co-developing with KTM and Husqvarna. Bajaj Racer certainly sounds like it belongs on a sporty motorcycle, but Bajaj already has the very well-established Pulsar sub-brand for its performance bikes, leaving us to wonder where the Racer badge will end up. As for Bajaj Hammer, our best guess is that it might end up on a rugged and tough commuter bike, perhaps something like Bajaj’s CT lineup.

Of course, all this is merely educated guesswork, and the only thing that’s certain is that Bajaj Auto has filed trademarks for these three nametags. It’s entirely possible that they may never make their way onto production models, as has happened multiple times in the past. Only time will tell.

What’s your best guess about where these names will end up being used? Tell us in the comments below.
