Harley-Davidson India appoints Sajeev Rajasekharan as MD

Harley-Davidson India has appointed Sajeev Rajasekharan as its new managing director. He will be based out of the company’s headquarters in Gurgaon, Delhi-NCR. Prior to this, Rajasekharan was the executive vice-president of Suzuki Motorcycle India.

In his new role with the American bike maker, Rajasekharan will manage the leadership team and will be responsible for in-country sales, dealer network management, marketing, service, and operations activities to expand the company’s presence in the country.

Rajasekharan has over two decades of experience in marketing, sales, and operations. Prior to his 28-month stint with Suzuki Motorcycle India, he has worked across multiple companies including Panasonic, Electrolux, Samsung India, Thomson India, Onida, and BlowPlast.

Commenting on his appointment, Nigel Keough, General Manager (Emerging Markets), Harley-Davidson, said, “We are delighted to welcome Sajeev to the Harley-Davidson family. Sajeev brings with him years of experience across customer-focused industries and we are positive that his expertise will be valuable as we build the next generation of Harley-Davidson riders in India.”

Harley-Davidson India is looking to enhance its presence and sales in India, a market which is seeing growing demand for premium motorcycles.
