Harley-Davidson has just announced that its limited-edition Street 750 is now available at Rs 4.75 lakh. This is a huge discount of over Rs 70,000 on the company’s first BS6-compliant model in India. Bookings are being accepted online via dealers for Rs 10,000. The rest of the purchasing process including registration will begin after the lockdown ends.

When this version of the Street 750 was launched in August 2019 at Rs 5.47 lakh, it was costlier  than the standard BS-4 spec Street 750 by Rs 13,000. The special edition bike celebrates 10 years of Harley Davidson in India, with production limited to 300 units.

The limited-edition model sports a unique colour scheme and gets decals on the tank signifying a decade in India. A representative from Harley had confirmed that the upgrade to BS6 norms didn’t bring with it a reduction in performance. This means the bike's 749cc liquid-cooled, V-twin engine continues to churn out around 60Nm of torque.

Harley is trying to create some excitement among customers in this grim time. The discount is a big one and it's one of the first discounts we have come across for a BS6 motorcycle.
