Porsche is currently finalising the new top-of-the-line GTS-spec models for the Cayman coupe and Boxster convertible. The 718 Boxster GTS and 718 Cayman GTS are expected to be officially unveiled later this year.
Both mid-engined offerings are powered by a tweaked version of the 2.5-litre, turbocharged, flat-four engine. The motor is expected to develop 380hp, representing an increase of about 15hp over the engine found in the current Cayman S and Boxster S.
Spy shots at the Nürburgring have spotted the sports cars being tested and showcased a new front bumper and twin central exhausts. Besides this, the GTS-spec models will also feature suspension upgrades in form of electronically controlled adaptive dampers and a slightly lowered ride height. Along with the Porsche Active Suspension Management, both cars will also likely to get the Sport Chrono package.
We expect the 718 Boxster and Cayman GTS to be showcased at the upcoming LA motor show.
