It's been a fantastic year. One year ago, Chevrolet gifted the Enjoy to India, and people responded by welcoming the Enjoy into their lives. And along the way, the Enjoy was also celebrated with a number of prestigious awards from both consumers and experts. In fact, Enjoy is the most awarded MPV of 2013. To thank the people for Enjoy's success, Chevrolet now offers you a limited 1st Anniversary edition.

Before telling you what is different about the Chevrolet, allow us to point out what hasn't changed. What stays is the Enjoy's ability to combine practicality with premium value to bring you a vehicle that is characterised by the flexibility of its purpose. This is a vehicle that will drive you to office with the same élan as it will take the family for a weekend driving vacation. And it will do it in the most pocket-friendly way.

So let's look at what only the 1st Anniversary edition will offer. Look carefully and if you think that the Enjoy is looking a dash more premium than usual, here's why. The exclusive badging sets it apart in the car park. This edition also gets stylish exterior enhancements that include a chrome kit for the headlamps, tail lamps, door handles and tailgate, apart from roof rails, side body decals, OSRVM blinkers and chrome license plate garnish. Moreover, the 1st Anniversary edition is available in bold, exciting colours that include Velvet Red, Candy White, Switchblade Silver, Seadrift Grey, Caviar Black and Linen Beige.

Take a look inside the Chevrolet 1st Anniversary edition. It carries the signature space that sets the Enjoy apart from any other. The car is designed to give maximum space for your family, and friends too. And to get to the cabin, you have remote keyless entry that automatically locks and unlocks the doors while also acting as a theft deterrent. Slipping into the seats after opening the Chevrolet Enjoy’s big doors is dead easy, even for grandparents with arthritic knees. They are at almost the perfect height, and once inside, legroom and headroom on both rows is plentiful. If it’s space you want, the Chevrolet Enjoy 1st Anniversary edition will not disappoint you.

Sit inside the light and airy cabin and you will discover little details that add to the Chevrolet Enjoy 1st Anniversary edition’s premium experience. Wooden dashboard trims add to this car's sporty and trendy feel. The triple-cluster silver-surround instrument panel brings in sharp styling definitions to the panoramic-view dashboard. Soothing blue night-time illumination of the instrument panel provides a strain-free view of the cluster to your eyes. Plus the driver gets tilt steering and height-adjustable seats to help find the most comfortable driving position. But it’s not just the driver who gets all the goodies. All the seats have good thigh and back supports and a widebase, and are extremely comfortable. Even the third row is surprisingly usable - since you can slide the second row of captain seats up and down, you can actually fit three tall adult legs in the third row. Plus the fact that the Chevrolet Enjoy is equipped with a dual AC as standard means that everyone in the family will stay comfortable in the height of summer. The list doesn’t end here.

Theatre-style seating layout ensures superb all-round view, no matter where you are seated. Front and rear power windows along with power adjustable ORVMs. Rear wiper and washer for improved visibility through rear windscreen in adverse conditions. Plus there is a multipurpose 12V accessory power outlet in the third row for running portable charging devices as well as electronic and gaming devices. In short, everything you need.

The Chevrolet Enjoy is more than just a pretty face. At its heart are two fantastic engines, one diesel and one petrol. The 1.3-litre Smartec turbo-charged DOHC diesel engine uses the latest in automotive engineering to give you a perfect mix of fuel efficiency and performance. This engine churns out 74.8PS at 4000rpm and yet manages to take you 18.2km for every litre of diesel. For the more performance-oriented, Chevrolet offers you the Enjoy with a 1.4-litre SMARTECH petrol engine. This refined engine puts out 100.2PS at 6000rpm. The best part is that it does so without sacrificing fuel efficiency. The petrol Enjoy will still deliver 13.7kpl (claimed). Don’t forget, the Enjoy is designed to carry seven to eight passengers. Now work out the cost per passenger per kilometre.

With great power comes great responsibility. That is why the Enjoy is equipped with a basket of active and passive safety features. And it begins with the structure itself. The Safe Cage design uses 10 collision protection beams made of high-strength steel and in-built crumple zones, and a side-impact beam in doors to keep you safe in case of an accident. Plus the added safety of dual front airbags. But prevention is better than cure. That’s why the Enjoy is equipped with ABS and EBD to prevent wheel lock and give you the ability to steer the vehicle away from danger in an emergency.

The Chevrolet Enjoy 1st Anniversary edition comes across as the perfect family vehicle engineered for the unique demands of Indian social and geographical conditions. It effortlessly plays any role you demand of it, be it a trip to the city centre or a state-crossing driving holiday. Best of all, thanks to its size, you don’t have to leave anyone behind.

The Chevrolet Enjoy 1st Anniversary edition is a whole lot of car for a reasonable amount of money. And the best part is that it comes with Chevrolet's 3-year/100,000km warranty. Sounds unbelievable? The Celerio has the most free revving engine and is well suited to city traffic.

Figo's 1.2-litre motor is decent at slow speeds and is at its best when worked hard.

The 1.1 IRDe 2 engine is very responsive in the city and also loves to be spun fast.

Micra's 1.2-litre engine feels most eager and responsive from slow speeds.

The Ford has the best combination of ride and handling.

There is lot of road noise in the Micra and the suspension is clunky.

The i10's ride can get uncomfortably bouncy at high speeds.

The Celerio has good high-speed stability and the suspension is silent too.

The i10's cabin has started to look dated but quality is still good.

Figo has seat height adjust but there is no steering adjust.

There are loads of small and big storage spaces in the Micra.

The dash-mounted gear lever is well placed and easy to reach.
