After a bitter Race 1, Indian rider Rajini Krishnan bagged victory in Race 2 of the ZIC (Zhuhai International Circuit) Superbike 1,000cc race. The race was held at the 2016 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival. Rajini was riding for the China Kawasaki Team, and raced in the Super Stock (B) category.

Rajini’s weekend had started on a tough note as a problem with the lean-angle sensor of his 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10 R during the qualifying session, cut his track time. During Race 1, he rode in the second position till his bike overheated and hence, he dropped to fourth. He won Race 2 and came third overall in the race behind the Class A bikes.

The Chennai-based rider is a wild-card entry in the 2016 China Superbike Championship and will compete in two rounds. He will not be able to participate in the immediate round of the Chinese championship as the dates for the next round clash with those of the Malaysian Superbike Championship, where the rider will be defending his title this year. He will only be able to return to the China Superbike Championship in the round after the next.
