Hyundai launches new Sonata

Hyundai has launched the all-new Sonata saloon at a starting price tag of Rs 18.53 lakh for the 6-speed manual variant. The six-speed automatic version with paddle-shifters retails at Rs 20.61 lakh (prices ex-showroom Delhi).

The new Sonata is another example of Hyundai’s fluidic design language. It comes with a 2.4-litre GDI petrol motor churning out 198bhp at 6300rpm.

Standard equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, HID headlamps with washer, LED tail-lamps, dual-tone beige interiors, leather wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, power seats, push button start and a double-din Audio player with an in-dash six-CD changer.

Safety features include dual-front, side and curtain airbags, ABS and EBD, rear-view camera to name a few. The Sonata competes with the likes of the Honda Accord and the Skoda Superb.
