VW has launched two of its models the iconic Beetle priced at Rs 20.45 lakh and the Touareg at Rs. 51.85 lakh ex-Showroom Delhi.

The New Beetle will be sold with a 2 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine that develops 115hp and will be paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Beetle will offer advanced safety features like 4 airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stabilization Programme (ESP) and engine immobilizers.

The Beetle retains design elements from the original Beetle like its round stern, dome shaped roof, rear section, the fenders with the hint of a footboard, the embedded round head and tail lights, while the sharp accented lines, 15 inch alloy wheels, and windows confirm the modern design.

Mr. Neeraj Garg, Member of Board and Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said, “The Beetle is the very first Volkswagen car people remember about; with its unique shape and reliability, it wrote motoring history.”

The Touareg will be powered by a 3 litre diesel that makes 240hp and will be mated with a 6 speed DSG gear box and a permanent all wheel drive system.

Additional features will include an electric sliding/ tilting sunroof and electric 12 way adjustable seats and 8 airbags.
