These are the first pictures of a facelifted Honda Jazz on test, spotted by our reader Kunal Teotia. The spy pictures show a taped up front end which reveals the facelift would include an updated front profile with new bumpers, grille and revised headlamps.

However the Jazz facelift in other markets comprises of revised tail-lamps with LED bulbs too but the test-mule spotted in India had the current-generation tail-lamps and there were no changes spotted at the rear end.

For other markets, the engine, a 1.2-liter unit remains unchanged, although small tweaks have been carried out to improve fuel consumption. Other mechanical revisions include new suspension settings - claimed by Honda to “increase ride comfort and improve handling” - and changes to the steering set-up to improve feel.

As seen in the other global markets, the updated Jazz includes new suspension settings in order to improve ride and handling. Honda is now introducing a CVT transmission in other markets where Jazz is sold. Since sales of automatic transmission equipped vehicles is on a rise in India, Honda India could follow suit and launch a CVT-equipped Jazz in order to garner more sales numbers.

Just to get a hint of what the front would look like, we are including the picture of Honda’s facelifted Jazz which is on sale in other global markets. The Jazz facelift will arrive in India sometime later this year.
