Mazda has revealed official sketches of its new CX-3 compact crossover. It is scheduled to make its public debut at the Los Angeles motor show next month. The CX-3, which is set to take on the likes of the Nissan Juke in global markets, will be launched around April 2015.
From the official sketch, it looks like the CX-3 features Mazda's "Kodo - Soul of Motion" design language, and sports a large central grille with the prominent Mazda badging.
Mazda says the CX-3 will carry "the full range of Skyactiv technology" from its range. Reports suggest the new model will borrow its engine line-up from the new Mazda 2. This means the new 1.5-litre turbodiesel engine with output around 104bhp, as well as the Skyactiv-G petrol option with up to 114bhp is possible.
Mazda has also said it will be displaying facelifted versions of the CX-5 and CX-6 at the Los Angeles show, alongside the new Miata MX-5.
