Infiniti, Nissan’s luxury arm, has released a preview picture of a new concept car. The concept is set to make its debut at the Paris motor show next month.
The concept, dubbed Q80 Inspiration, is described as a "low-slung, ingeniously aggressive four-passenger fastback" and previews a production car which will sit at the very top of Infiniti's range. While details on the new model are scarce, Infiniti's long-held plans to take on luxury rivals like Porsche, in the international markets, with a larger sports sedan are well known. Talks have been around that such a car could come to international markets in 2017 or 2018.
From the looks of the sketch, the new car seems to get some styling inspiration from Infiniti’s Essence concept shown in 2009. Infiniti had previously released a picture of the car's grille, saying it plans to "share a vision, its soul, on a scale not yet seen before" with the new vehicle.
The car will form part of the brand's plan to grow its range by up to five new models and thoroughly overhaul its existing line-up in the global markets.
