Geneva 2014: Jeep Renegade SUV leaked

The new model was previously thought to use the Jeepster name, but Fiat-Chrysler boss Sergio Marchionne later confirmed that wasn't the case.

This is the first leaked image of the upcoming new Jeep model called the Renegade.

This new Jeep will rival the Nissan Juke internationally and will be revealed at the Geneva motor show 2014.

The new Jeep Renegade sports a set of front-mounted towing eyes, suggesting that it may be an off-road focussed version. Developed alongside the Fiat 500X crossover, and sharing its underpinnings with that model, the new Jeep is expected to go on sale in 2015.

The new model was previously thought to use the Jeepster name, but Fiat-Chrysler boss Sergio Marchionne later confirmed that wasn't the case.

The new Jeep Renegade uses a traditional Jeep front end, with round lights, and uses the firm's prominent bar grille; the new car also features boxy, SUV-like proportions and large, square tail lights. According to our sources, the interior will have a large central screen for both infotainment and navigation functions. There will be all-wheel drive also on offer on select variants.

While any powertrain options have yet to be confirmed; reports suggest the two will use Fiat's 1.3-litre turbodiesel engine in Europe, possibly alongside a 0.9-litre turbocharged petrol unit.
