Ford India has inaugurated its fourth parts distribution centre in India, this time in Kolkata. The carmaker already has distribution centres in Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi. With the centre, Ford hopes to enhance its reach across the country and enable faster distribution of spare parts.

The new warehouse will bring down delivery time for spare parts and accessories to dealerships in East and North Eastern parts of India. The distribution centre will serve 28 dealerships in this region.

The spare parts distribution centre was inaugurated by Nigel Harris, president, Ford India, along with other executives.

"With this new parts distribution centre, we will be closer to the dealer network, improving parts availability, reducing lead time and enhancing overall customer experience,” shared PK Umashankar, executive director, marketing, sales and service, Ford India.
