Audi has added a top-spec trim to its petrol-powered A6 sedan line-up. The Audi A6 Matrix 35TFSI is priced at Rs 52.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It sits above the A6 35 TFSI spec that costs Rs 48.10 lakh.

What differentiates the A6 Matrix from the lower trims is its special S-Line body kit and 18-inch forged hollow spoke alloy wheels. Also new to the top-spec A6 are Audi's distinctive Matrix LED headlamps. Moreover, it gets the dynamic turn indicators at the rear that sweep in the direction of the turn.

This version of the A6 also gets a few more goodies in the cabin. Its infotainment setup comprises a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen with navigation and an MMI touch system. It also gets a 14-speaker Bose sound system. It also gets additional features such as adaptive air suspension, eight airbags that include two rear-side airbags and a comfort key feature with hands-free and gesture-based boot opening technology.

The new sedan is powered by a 1.8-litre turbo petrol unit that develops 190hp and 319.6Nm of torque. The transmission duties are taken care of by an S Tronic dual-clutch automatic gearbox and power is driven to the front wheels, but it does not get the quattro system. The A6 petrol rivals the likes of the recently launched BMW 520i (Rs 54 lakh) and Mercedes E 200 petrol (Rs 49.93 lakh). The new A6 will also rival the second-gen Jaguar XF which will launch soon.
