While the Los Angeles Auto Show 2014 is just around the corner, Porsche has gone ahead and unveiled the Cayenne GTS. It gets a sporty package that includes extended wheel arches and new side skirts. The GTS also rides 20-24mm lower than the outgoing model, and gets 20-inch alloy wheels. To make the GTS look more sporty, the lights are tinted and it has additional body-color accents. A sports exhaust system, high performance brakes and Active Suspension Management System also make their way to the Cayenne GTS. The interiors get minor changes, with only some alterations to the upholstery.

A 434bhp 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6 engine makes its way to the GTS, making a meaty 61.2kgm of torque, which is an increase of 19.7bhp and 8.7kgm respectively. With even more impressive output figures, the crossover can hit 100kph in 5.2sec, and if the optional Sports Chrono package is engaged, it can be achieved in 5.1sec, going up to 262kph.

Apart from this, Porsche is also introducing the entry level Cayenne, which is equipped with a 3.6-litre V6 engine that makes 295.9bhp of power. It also features an eight-speed automatic transmission, which enables the car to hit 100kph in 7.7sec. The car tops at 230kph, and besides being quick, it is also quite environmental friendly. It gets an engine start/stop system too which reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 0.7 l/100km and 21 g/km, respectively.

While the facelifted Cayenne will be launching in India at the end of this month, Porsche will start selling the updated Cayenne GTS in some international markets from February next year, and it might make its way to our market sometime after that.
