Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride or DGR is a global ride founded by a group of Australians in 2012. The ride is aimed to spread awareness about prostate cancer. Although Triumph Motorcycles has partnered with DGR, they feel that this is not a ride meant just for Triumph Motorcycle riders, because everybody should be invited for this cause.

Mark Hawwa came up with this concept and organised it first in Perth, Australia. The idea was received well and has reached a global platform today, raising Rs 1.48 crore across 145 cities in 38 countries worldwide, in 2013.

This year, DGR took things to the next level, riding in 254 cities around the world on September 28, 2014 and managed to raised Rs 5.37crore to support research on prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer, also known as carcinoma of the prostate, is when cancer develops in the prostate, a gland in the male reproductive system. This disease is fatal for every one man in six, and is also highly painful.
