Suzuki Gixxer SF-Fi launched at Rs 93,499

Suzuki had showcased the fuel-injected variant of the Gixxer SF, called Gixxer SF-Fi, at the 2016 Auto Expo. Now, the company has launched the model in select cities and dealerships at Rs 93,499 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it Rs 4,642 cheaper than the carburetted Gixxer SF.

The Gixxer SF-Fi is only available in the MotoGP edition, which features livery inspired by Suzuki’s MotoGP race bikes. It is powered the same 154.9cc, single-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed gearbox as the naked Gixxer. Despite being equipped with fuel injection, the engine produces same 14.8hp at 8,000rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm as the carburetted version. Suzuki claims that the integration of fuel injection helps enhance fuel economy, ease of start-up engine and good throttle response.

This new variant of the SF gets a rear disc brake as standard, however, it does not get a kick starter. The model is currently only available for sale in Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Kochi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

Suzuki also recently launched new SP editions of its Gixxer and Gixxer SF motorcycles with refreshed livery.
