Royal Enfield, the Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer, has announced its plans of expanding operations to Colombia, South America. The bike-maker has appointed Corbeta Group as their sole distributor there.

Royal Enfield plans to introduce a range of motorcycles in the 350cc and 500cc displacement category for the South American country. These include the Bullet, Classic, Thunderbird, called the Rumbler in export markets, and the Continental GT. A range of official merchandise, including apparels and accessories will also be made available through the dealerships.

The Corbeta Group will be responsible for supplying, marketing, reselling, distributing and servicing Royal Enfield products in the Colombian market. Exclusive Royal Enfield stores will be set up after the commercial launch of the bike-maker there later this year.

Currently, Royal Enfield operates through 11 company-operated stores and 250 dealerships in all the major cities and towns in India. The company also exports to over forty countries across the world, including USA, Japan, UK, several European and Latin American countries, as well as the Middle East and South Asia.
