India Kawasaki Motors has inaugurated an exclusive showroom in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This is Kawasaki's second showroom and service centre in the state of Tamil Nadu (the first being in Chennai), and brings the total number of such facilities across the country to 12. Located on Avinashi Road, the showroom is spread over 2,300 sq ft, with 650 sq ft allocated to an exclusive service centre.
Having started operations in India about two and a half years ago with a single showroom in Pune, the brand has grown rapidly and now offers twelve of its international models in the country. Of these models, five include the 650 family (consisting of the Versys 650, Ninja 650 and ER-6N) along with the Ninja 300 and Z250 which are assembled in India. The rest are offered as CBUs and have enjoyed a fair bit of success amongst Indian motorcycling enthusiasts. Kawasaki also launched the updated ZX-10R and ZX-14R in February this year.
Speaking at the inauguration, Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors added, “We will strive to increase our sales and service network continuously.”
Kawasaki has stated that the new showroom has been set-up to cater to the increasing number of customers and to strengthen its customer base in the region.
