The initiative will also boost the company’s connectivity goal of 2,700 touch points for consumers by the end of current fiscal year.

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) has launched a novel service initiative in India called Service on Wheels. With this, the bike manufacturer aims to reach its customers who are located in the more rural and remote areas of the country.

The initiative will also boost the company’s connectivity goal of 2,700 touch points for consumers by the end of current fiscal year. The service will be offered at no extra cost, and carried out irrespective of where the customers are located. Honda will allot Activa scooters to all trained technicians involved in the initiative across the company's 782 dealerships in the country by the end of March 2014.
