Honda to make service easy for rural customers

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched a 'Mobile Service Van' campaign to reach out to its customers in rural areas. The 'Mobile Service Van' will strive to bring the dealership and service outlet to their doorstep.

The service van will have enough space for displaying the company's motorbikes. Interested customers can take a good look at the bikes and also book test rides. The van will also have an ample supply of spare parts, thereby making servicing easy. It is usually difficult to find good or authorised service centres in rural areas. The mobile van will also train local mechanics.

Honda plans to have eleven mobile service vans running by the end of the year. They are also aiming to take its dealership and service outlet count to 3,800 before the year is out.

Keita MuramatsuCEO & president, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Seventy percent of the approximately 1,000 touch-points that we aim to add this year will be in rural areas. The new Mobile Service Van (MSV) is designed to take Honda one step ahead of even where the reach of its last touch-point ends."
