    Honda CBR250R recall in India

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has issued a recall for 11,500 standard variant CBR250R bikes manufactured between March 2011 - September 2012 for a limited front brake malfunction. Honda tells us the issue doesn’t make a difference to overall braking from the front and rear brakes under normal riding conditions, but does cause limited effectiveness of front brake application in certain cases.

Authorised Honda dealers are informing customers whose motorcycles require attention, and customers can also visit the HMSI website at www.honda2wheelersindia.com/cbr250r/servicecampaign.aspx to check whether their bike requires work. Honda customers are being given prior appointments to avoid prolonged waits for vehicle inspection, and repairs if required will be carried out within an hour. Honda is rectifying the problem on all bikes that require it at their expense, even if the motorcycle is outside its warranty period.
