    For Hero, a new Dawn at EICMA

    Hero MotoCorp has showcased the new Dawn 125 motorcycle at EICMA 2016 in Milan, Italy. Pawan Munjal, chairman, managing director and CEO, Hero MotoCorp, today unveiled the motorcycle which has been developed specifically with the African market in mind.

    With the Dawn 125, Hero has produced a motorcycle focused on strength, durability and fuel efficiency to meet utility requirements of Africa and aimed at the commercial segment.

    Hero has kept the styling simple and rugged. It gets elements like a big round headlamp, a long and wide seat, a rear carrier, black alloy wheels, a metal front mudguard and a sleek chrome silencer.

    The Dawn 125 is powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke, 125cc OHC single-cylinder engine that delivers a peak output of 9hp at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.35 Nm at 4,000 rpm.
    The motorcycle is available at dealerships across major African markets, including Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Mozambique.
