Italian manufacturer Ducati has unveiled its new Multistrada D-Air model featuring Ducati’s new technology, a fully integrated system of sensors wirelessly connected to Ducati’s airbag jackets designed in association with Dainese. The passive safety system uses sensors built into the Multistrada’s electronics to deploy rider and passenger airbags within 45 milliseconds in case of a collision.

Ducati claims that it’s the world’s first to bring this technology to the motorcycle industry. More information on the Ducati Multistrada D-Air will be released on April 15 and the new model will arrive in Europe in May this year.
