Bajaj Avenger 150 to launch soon

Bajaj Auto is one of the biggest two-wheeler manufacturers in the country, with a product in almost every small-capacity segment. It is also one of the few manufacturers that makes a cruising motorcycle, namely the Avenger.

The Avenger has been on sale in the Indian market for a decade now – it launched with a 180cc engine in 2005. The engine grew to 200cc and later to 220cc, which is currently on sale. Now if sources close to the manufacturer are to be believed, Bajaj is said to have readied a 150cc version of the Avenger, to be launched sometime this month. Once launched, it will sell alongside the Avenger 220.

The 150cc cruiser segment in the country has not yet been explored by other manufacturers, and with the Avenger 150, Bajaj might launch the cheapest cruiser in the market. From what we understand, the Avenger 150 will be targeted at customers who ride in an urban environment, but want the comfort that a cruiser provides. On the other hand, the Avenger 220 has always been for customers who prefer riding on highways.

In addition to this launch, Bajaj could also introduce facelifts for the Avenger 220.
