The Renault Koleos has been given mild updates for 2014, but it's core strengths remain the same.

The biggest visual change is to the nose, with the new Renault family grille and a bigger emblem.

There are new alloys and chrome strips down the side, but no more exterior changes.

The dash is largely unchanged, although the dashboard audio controls are new.

2.0 diesel engine now makes 23bhp more than before in the 4x4 variants.

Good comfy driving position, and front passenger now gets electric seat adjust too.

Back seat has plenty of room and a comfy bench.

Flip-up tables are a thoughtful touch; but not hugely effective on the move.

There's plenty of storage in the cabin, including cubbyholes in the floor.

New controls for the audio system are more intuitive.

There's no third row of seats, but that means a big boot. Split tailgate is handy too.

The new Renault Koleos is also available with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Eight-speaker Bose audio system sounds really awesome.
