    Hi, I’m looking for a 7-seater petrol car within a budget of ₹15 lakh. Are there any options available?

    Currently, there are two models that fit your requirements - the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Kia Carens Clavis. Both have spacious cabins that are reasonably comfortable for seven passengers, and both come with naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engines. 

    The Ertiga, however, will be more fuel efficient and, being a Maruti car, it'll also come with a stress-free ownership experience. The Kia car, on the other hand, offers many more features, and it can even be had with either a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol or 1.5-litre diesel engine options.

    Asked by: Yash sahane I plan to purchase a new bike soon. I recently read reports that Triumph may launch a Speed 350 model in India around April 2026. Should I buy the Speed 400 now or wait a bit longer for the Speed 350? Bajaj has decided to downsize the 400cc Triumph and KTM models in India to ensure these bikes attract a lower 18 percent GST in comparison to the 40 percent tax attracted by machines over 350cc in accordance with the government's GST 2.0 regulation. The Speed 350 should be very similar in terms of its mechanics to the 400 - save for the smaller engine and slightly lower performance - and will most likely have a more competitive price as well. If you don't want to miss out on having a 40hp, 400cc bike, then you should buy the Speed 400 before it is replaced by a slightly smaller machine.

    Asked by: Hemanth K S My wife and I both currently ride an 11-year-old Yamaha FZ. She is 5′3″ and I am 5′8″; both of us weigh over 90 kg. I don’t feel confident that this bike is safe and responsive enough — it needs a lot of throttle, is hard to manoeuvre in traffic, and handles pothole-ridden city roads poorly, especially for pillion riding. I also have back issues. What would be the ideal bike for us to upgrade to so we can ride together comfortably, mainly in the city with potholes and occasionally on the highway? Bikes you should take a look at are the Royal Enfield Hunter / Classic / Bullet / Meteor 350, Scram 440, TVS Ronin and Honda CB350 trio. All have smooth, torque-rich engines, comfortable seats for two passengers and great suspension comfort. These factors will help you on both broken city roads and open highways. We would recommend you take a test ride of all machines with your wife so as to ascertain which one is best for you.

I’m considering upgrading to a new bike-TVS Ronin, Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Jawa Perak, or the Classic/Bullet 350. Budget is not a concern. My usage is mostly city riding with occasional highway trips. Please advise. Between the options you've shortlisted, we'd advise choosing between the TVS Ronin and the Royal Enfield Classic / Bullet 350 for their laidback yet neutral riding positions and thumpy, torquey engines, as well as comfortable suspension setups. You should also look at the Honda CB350 models, as they have a similar feel and look to the Royal Enfield bikes, but have a more modern and lighter riding experience. Take a test ride of every machine you're considering before making your purchase.

    Asked by: Ram Kumar I currently own a 2020 Kia Sonet and a 2024 Honda Elevate, and I need a larger seven-seater. I’m deciding between the Mahindra XUV700 AX7 L and the Kia Carens Clavis HTX(O). Please provide a detailed comparison of these two. While both the Mahindra XUV 700 and the Kia Carens Clavis are seven-seaters, their strengths are quite different. The Mahindra car is larger with a more powerful engine and a comfortable ride, and in the top AX7L variant, it is packed with features. Fuel efficiency is not its strong point in either petrol or diesel, and the third row is not ideal for long journeys.The Kia Carens Clavis is more affordable with more efficient engines and is a better seven-seater. Thanks to a roomier and more comfortable third row. It is well-equipped too. However, while its engines are adequate, it does not feel as effortless or punchy as the XUV 700.Your final choice should depend on what you prioritise. If you are leaning towards the XUV 700, it may be worth waiting as the facelift is expected soon with more features and updated styling.
