Will the new Maruti Alto K10 be cheaper than the S-Presso?

Prices for the upcoming Alto K10 are expected to overlap with lower variants of the S-Presso.

I'm looking to replace my Alto 800 and had finalised the S-Presso, but I read that the new Alto K10 will be launched soon. Will it be cheaper than the S-Presso and should I wait for it?

Autocar India says: The new Alto K10 will be positioned above the Alto 800, and its price is likely to overlap with the Alto 800 and S-Presso, since the S-Presso's price starts where Alto 800's ends. Also, the new K10 and S-Presso will share their powertrain, features and several components, and are likely to have a lot in common. The S-Presso is a bit longer, wider and taller than the new K10, which could translate to a roomier interior, however, we'll be able to give a definitive verdict only once we've reviewed the new K10 which is in a few weeks from now. So stay tuned.
