Will the Kawasaki Eliminator 400 be launched in India?

Most of Kawasaki's international line-up tends to come to India, but the bigger question is which engine the Eliminator could use here.

Will the Kawasaki Eliminator 400 be launched in India?

I am interested in buying the Kawasaki Eliminator, but do they have any plans of bringing it to India? If not, please suggest some alternatives.

Autocar India says: Kawasaki hasn’t revealed any plans to bring the new Eliminator. However, the company traditionally brings most of its international road bikes to India, and the Eliminator name also has a strong historical connection here. In India, the new Eliminator would fit in nicely below the existing 650cc Vulcan S where it could present a stronger challenge to the likes of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.

The interesting thing will be what spec model comes to India as there are big differences between the Japanese model and the one that's sold in the USA. The Japanese bike uses the existing 399cc parallel twin from the Kawasaki Ninja 400, while the US-spec bike gets a new 451 cc engine that's effectively a stroked out version of the Ninja 400 motor. You can read more about the bike here.

We believe that Kawasaki will bring the new Eliminator here, but the timeline and whether it will be locally assembled remains to be seen.
