I want to buy a 7-seater that is more economical. Should I buy the XUV 7XO base model or the Kia Clavis HTK+ optional? Both diesel models.

If you want power and performance and regularly drive on the highways, the XUV 7XO with its strong 2.2 diesel engine is a good choice. However, if your usage is mainly city with occasional highway driving, the Kia Carens Clavis is a better all-rounder.

The 1.5 diesel is nowhere near as powerful as the XUV 7XO’s 2.2 diesel, but it's good for city driving and does the job on the highway as well. Plus, in the city, the Clavis with its smaller footprint and tighter turning radius is more manoeuvrable and nimble. The HTK+ optional is also better equipped than the base 7XO, and crucially, the third row in the Kia Carens Clavis is more spacious and comfortable.

Between your choices, the Mahindra XUV 7XO offers better value for your money. In terms of performance, the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine in the XUV 7XO has a definite edge over the Safari’s 1.5-litre turbo-petrol. In AX7 trim, it is also better equipped than the Adventure X trim of the Safari and is almost on par with the Accomplished trim at a significantly lower price.It also offers superior ride quality. The Safari does have a slightly more comfortable third row, but if this is not a priority for you, then the XUV 7XO is the better choice.

I’m torn between the Tata Harrier and the Mahindra XUV700 (7XO). Looking ahead to 2026, the XUV700 AX7T diesel variant comes at a lower cost compared to the Harrier Fearless X Plus, while covering almost all the same features. However, the Harrier feels more solid and robust to me, which makes the decision tricky.

It's a close one between the Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV 7XO. Both SUVs have great road presence, strong diesel engines, and come packed with features. However, talking specifically about the Mahindra XUV 7XO AX7 T and Harrier Fearless X Plus, it's the Mahindra that gets our vote.It's significantly more affordable than the Harrier Fearless X Plus yet packs in almost all the features of interest. What also makes the case for the XUV stronger is its more refined diesel engine and the flexibility of its third row of seating. Further, like the Harrier, the XUV 7XO is built tough and feels solid.

Got the creta turbo petrol 1yr back but want a bigger car, is it a good financial decision to sell the creta in 6 months and idk how much I will loose in Chennai but I heard it has good resale value, and planning to buy a bigger car like 7 seater just for driving experience, is this a good decision in overall and financial point of view and what cars can I look after selling? Of course, it isn't the most spacious 7-seater out there; space in the third row is tight, but for occasional use it does the job.If you plan to use all three rows regularly, you could even opt for the Tata Safari. It is more spacious than the Mahindra, and its road presence is great too.
