What is the best ADV under Rs 10 lakh?

The Suzuki V-Strom 650XT is an excellent tourer and offers more off-road capability than most other bikes under Rs 10 lakh.

What is the best ADV under Rs 10 lakh?

I currently own a Royal Enfield Classic 350, but I'm planning to get my first big ADV bike. However, it's really hard to decide which one. I have seen Autocar's reviews on many ADVs, but I am still confused. Can you suggest which is a better pick up to Rs 10 lakh (on-road).

Here are some of the things I am looking for:

    1) Comfortable for long distances
    2) Easy to handle
    3) Comfortable seats (rider and pillion)
    4) Doesn’t get too hot
    5) Acceptable running cost

Autocar India says: For your budget, you could consider the Kawasaki Versys 650, the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT and the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 if you are willing to extend your budget by a bit. However, going by the criteria you have listed, the Suzuki will fit your needs best. It's a comfortable tourer, but it also has more capability for occasional mild off-roading compared to the other two.

The Suzuki also has a decently manageable seat height and it doesn’t get as top heavy as the Versys with a full tank. It’s also very good at heat management for such a big bike and you will feel less heat than either the Triumph or the Kawasaki in heavy traffic. Finally, Suzuki’s running costs are generally quite reasonable and lower than the other two.

It’s a bit of an old school motorcycle compared with the other two in terms of features, but it comes with everything you need and is a pleasure to ride in our conditions.
