I have booked a new Venue 2025 HX8T in Dec ’25. The waiting time during booking was 45 days. I have completed 65 days, and I am now being asked to wait till Mar ’26. Is there an issue with Venue Turbo production?

The Hyundai Venue Turbo is a popular model, and the waiting period for it is on the higher side. The delay in delivery could be due to a shortage of the specific variant you have booked.
However, we recommend checking with the dealership for the exact reason for the delay. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can ask for a refund and consider other options.

Same issue. I booked way back in Oct before launch had put it on hold so I was pushed down the priority but even now there is no definite ETA. The dealership is trying to get cars allocated but seems like they are not getting enough vehicles. This is specially true for DCT variants. I wrote to [email protected] and they immediately responded and my complaint was taken up with the dealership the next day, although the question was more for HMIL to respond. Atleast in my case dealership is pretty helpful. Seems like there is huge demand for automatics and they are not able to keep up with the same. As per the latest comments from CEO, they are running double shifts to meet demands.

I am also facing the same issue. I booked the Hyundai Venue HX5 1L Turbo MT at three different dealerships to get the car as soon as possible. However, I have been waiting since the first week of November. Yesterday, I sent a complaint email to Hyundai, and this morning I received a call from Hyundai Customer Service and the TSM through a dealer conference call. They informed me that this new variant is being manufactured at Hyundai’s new Pune plant, and currently they are facing a shortage of turbo and some other components. Due to this, the production of the turbo variant is limited, which is increasing the waiting period.

similar scenes at my end as well. The showroom guys have zero clue and i am kind of surprised that how can Hyundai plan such a disaster of a production line.

I have pre-booked new venue hx8 dct turbo petrol in October, it has been 14 weeks but have no clarity about the delivery timelines, originally the dealer said 8 to 10 weeks would be maximum time for delivery. It is very sad to see a premier automaker planning so poorly while other companies having similar demand have launched the car a month later and have already started delivery within 1 month

I have been looking for a secondary car, primarily to be driven in the city. A petrol automatic would be preferred. Mileage is not a very big criterion. Good engine performance, features and a hassle-free ownership experience are on the must-have list. We are looking for something compact and easy to maneuver in the city and park in tight spaces. Budget is around ₹15 lakh, plus or minus a lakh. A lack of dealerships in the city we reside in restricts us to only a few brands: Maruti Suzuki (Nexa too), Kia, Hyundai, Mahindra, Toyota and Tata. We test drove the Hyundai Venue (new gen), Kia Sonet and also looked at the Toyota Fronx and Nexon. Which car would you kindly suggest?

The Hyundai Venue is a good option to consider. It is compact, has a good feature list, and the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is punchy and fun to drive. The DCT automatic gearbox is also smooth and quick to respond. Being the newest entrant to the compact SUV segment, it gets a modern cabin that is well-equipped and gets all the features you would want. This Hyundai car also has decent space at the rear, and the ride comfort and sales and service experience is good, too. Overall, it is a well-rounded package that does everything the way you'd want it to. The HX 8 trim is one shy of the top-spec, but it will fit in your budget and offer a long equipment list.

Given your requirements, you should consider the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. It's a compact SUV that's powered by a refined 103hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine. It comes with a smooth, 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and has a claimed mileage of 19.8kpl.Being a Maruti car, it will be reliable for you for 8-10 years, and it's backed up by the brand's widespread service network, which should give you added peace of mind. The Brezza also has a comfy and spacious cabin, and it comes well-equipped with features. As for safety, the Brezza has not been crash-tested yet, but it does come with 6 airbags, traction control and more. Maruti Brezza petrol-AT prices range from Rs 10.60 lakh to Rs 12.86 lakh (ex-showroom).

I am looking for a 7-seater manual car which is easy to maintain. My budget is around ₹15 lakh. My annual running is 80% on the highway and 20% in the city. I am confused between two options: Carens or Clavis. Please advise which one I should pick and whether to go for a petrol manual or a diesel manual.

With your budget of Rs 15 lakh, you can move past the Kia Carens and up to the Carens Clavis, which is essentially a facelift of the Carens, with more features and an additional engine option. The trickier choice is which engine to choose, between the 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel, both of which are available with a manual. The diesel is the more obvious choice, given that your usage is 80% on the highway, where the additional torque will be beneficial, not to mention the better mileage. However, in your budget, you'll only get it in the base HTE spec. If that's fine with you, then you should go ahead with that; otherwise, note that the Carens 1.5 petrol MT is available in the higher HTE (EX) trim, with more features. You could also consider the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, which comes in petrol and CNG guises, has lower maintenance costs, and is far more affordable than the Kia.
