Looking to buy a new comfortable, all rounded bike

Are there any options better than the Triumph Tiger 800 XRx and the Speed Twin in the segment?

Looking to buy a new comfortable, all rounded bike

I want a big bike for use in the city and on long trips. I need something that is good to ride, comfortable, and easy to live with. I like Triumph and have shortlisted the Tiger 800 XRx and the Speed Twin. Please suggest the better pick, or anything else from Harley, Triumph, Kawasaki, Suzuki or BMW.

AAA - We haven’t ridden the Speed Twin in India yet, but it promises to be a lovely motorcycle indeed. Given that you have shortlisted the 800 XRx, we’ll assume that you don’t have an issue with tall bikes. The Tiger is an excellent motorcycle and you can live with it in the city as long as you can manage its dimensions and don’t mind the fact that it gets quite hot in heavy traffic.

As for other recommendations, the Kawasaki Versys 650 and Suzuki V-Strom 650 are definitely worth considering as well. The Kawasaki’s motor isn’t very exciting, but its chassis is exceptional and its one of the best ‘India-ready’ bikes out there and is quite easy to commute on as well. While the Kawasaki is the better choice as a road bike, the Suzuki V-Strom is well suited to a bit of off-road work and it has a more characterful V-twin motor as well as a more attractive design.
