I have a Maruti SX4 automatic, which has been exceptionally reliable all these years. But now small issues keep cropping up every now and then, hence I'm looking for a new automatic car within Rs 13-14 lakhs. Is the new Citroen Basalt a good choice?

What's more is that its turbo-engine is energetic, and its 6-speed automatic is quite smooth too. Moreover, its ride comfort is better than any other car at a similar price. In its latest avatar, Citroen has not only reduced prices, but also significantly improved its interiors, lending an upmarket feel, which was missing earlier. You will need to contend with Citroen's limited dealer/support network, but if you have a touchpoint closer to where you reside, go for the Basalt.
