Honda Activa 7G: When is it launching in India?

I have been using my Honda Activa 3G since I bought it brand new in 2015 and after all these years, I want to buy a new Activa to replace my old one. My question is when will Honda launch the 7G? Since last year I haven’t seen any suffix on the newer Activas around my home. Please advise.

Autocar India says: The Activa has been the market leader when it comes to scooter sales in India although the suffixes were starting to get a little long in the tooth, in our opinion. It would seem that Honda shares that opinion because last year, the company stopped bestowing any suffix after the name in its badge. Since Honda only sells the Activa in two basic configurations – 110cc and 125cc – the suffix (arguably) became redundant.

The Activa is exactly the same sans the suffix as it was with it so if you are planning to buy one we’d suggest that you pull the trigger. A hypothetical Activa ‘7G’ is not going to be launched anytime soon (contrary to whatever might be circulating on the interwebs) and we suggest you opt for any of the three variants that suit you best.
