Should I buy the Kawasaki Versys 650 or the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT?

AAA These are two excellent motorcycles you have narrowed down on and they both perform superbly in our conditions. To decide between them, your primary usage pattern should be considered. The Versys is aimed almost entirely at the road, and while it will handle some mild off-roading, this is the better option if you want a motorcycle that can cover long distances with effortless ease, no matter the road conditions. This is primarily down to the fact that the Versys has an excellent suspension setup.

The V-Strom, on the other hand, will be a nicer companion if you do plan to add a dash of off-reading to your riding regime, thanks to a bigger 19-inch front wheel. Also worth praising on the Suzuki is the inclusion of spoked wheels that support tubeless tyres. While the V-Strom’s suspension lacks the finesse of the Kawasaki’s, its V-twin motor makes a nicer sound and is more characterful, in general. In the end, though the Suzuki is more expensive to buy, it should be more affordable to run compared to the Kawasaki. No matter your decision, you can’t go wrong with either of these bikes.
