Buying a five-seater SUV between Rs 15-20 lakh

I am planning to buy a five-seater SUV between Rs 15-20 lakh. Between Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier, which one is better and why?

AAA We assume you are considering a manual-diesel as that is the option both cars offer. The Harrier has a lot more space and a better low-speed ride, which makes it more comfortable than the Compass, especially in Mumbai where the roads are bad. Also, the Harrier has a lighter clutch which makes driving in start-stop traffic easier. The Compass is a better highway car, thanks to a flatter high-speed ride and a stronger engine that makes overtaking easier. The key question that we cannot yet answer is what the Harrier’s price will be. We understand it will be very competitive and, overall, the Harrier could be the better deal.
