New car prices to go up from April 2021

    Many carmakers will hike prices for their cars due to the increase in their input costs.

    New car prices to go up from April 2021

    Come April 1, 2021, the Indian auto sector will receive a second price hike of the year as we move to the new financial year. The first hike took place earlier this year in January, when all automakers hiked prices for their cars.

    • Ford will increase prices of its models by up to 3 percent
    • Prices for all Maruti Suzuki models will go up by 1-6 percent
    • The entire Toyota, Nissan, Datsun and Renault range will also get a price increase

    Carmakers like Ford, Toyota, Maruti Suzuki, Nissan, Datsun and Renault are set to increase prices of their respective range of cars in India, yet again, citing the increase in input costs as the main reason.

    Ford prices: April 2021

    Ford has confirmed that it will be increasing the ex-showroom prices of all its models in India by up to 3 percent. However, the exact amount will vary from model-to-model. At present the Ford India line-up consists of the Aspire, EcoSport, Endeavour and Figo.

    Toyota prices: April 2021

    Toyota will also be increasing prices for all its models in India, including the Camry, Fortuner, Glanza, Innova Crysta, Urban Cruiser, Vellfire and Yaris. The carmaker has not yet announced the exact amount it will hike the prices of its models.

    Maruti Suzuki car and SUV prices: April 2021

    Maruti Suzuki will increase prices of its entire range anywhere form 1-6 percent over its current ex-showroom price. The hike will range from Rs 5,000 to a maximum increase of Rs 34,000 depending upon the vehicle model.

    Nissan SUV prices: April 2021

    All models in the Nissan India range, which currently include the Kicks and Magnite, will receive a price hike on April 1. At this point, Nissan has not yet revealed the price increment it plans to implement for its models.

    Interestingly, earlier this month, the Nissan Magnite’s prices were increase by Rs 30,000 for all the turbo-petrol variants.

    Datsun prices: April 2021

    Similar to Nissan, the entire Datsun range will also receive a price hike, though the carmaker has not announced by how much the prices will go up. Datsun’s India line-up consists of the RedigoGo and Go+

    Renault prices: April 2021

    Renault is also gearing up to increase prices of all its offerings in our market, which include the Duster, Kiger, Kwid and Triber. The French carmaker has also not yet announced the scale in which it will hike the prices.
