FAQs
Trending Questions on Maruti Suzuki Cars - Answered by Autocar Experts
I have been using a Renault Kwid for the past 5 years and now want to upgrade to a slightly bigger car for a family of 4. I would prefer an automatic, though it is not mandatory. My budget is โน13 lakh on-road in Noida. Most of my driving is between Noida and Gurugram. My priorities are a spacious cabin, good mileage, and essential features. Please suggest.
Iโm looking for an economical and comfortable car for city use. My daily commute is around 45km, and my budget is up to โน7 lakh. Please suggest suitable options.
Please suggest a petrol manual car with good mileage around a โน10 lakh budget.
I want to buy a low-budget car for the first time in my life. I am confused between the Tata Tiago XT and the Maruti Swift Dzire VXI. My priority is low maintenance and long life. My average daily run is 20 to 30 km. Please suggest.
I am planning to buy a new SUV that should be an automatic petrol (not AMT). My monthly running is only about 2000 km, and my budget is โน 20-25lakh. Please suggest an automatic SUV with top features that fits my requirements.
I want to buy a 7-seater car with a maximum budget of โน15 lakh. Please suggest the best option.
Hi Autocar, Iโm planning to buy a car for my parents. They are new to driving and nearly 60 years old. My budget is โน6-10 lakh, and Iโm open to both new and second-hand car suggestions. I prefer an automatic transmission. Please advise suitable options.
If you are buying a new car, the recently updated Tata Punch would be a good choice. With its taller height and wide opening doors, entry and exit are very easy. The elevated seating position also gives you a good view outside, and that, along with the car's compact size, makes it quite easy to drive.
If you are looking to buy a used car, you can check out a Maruti Baleno. The car sits lower than the Punch, but it's also easy to drive with light controls and look for pre-2022 cars with the CVT gearbox. It is much smoother than an AMT autobox, which the Punch and Baleno now come with. When buying a used car, purchase it from a reputable reseller like Spinny.
Respected members, we are a family of five, and I want to buy an SUV. My driving will be about 70% city and 30% highway. I am looking for a car with good fuel economy and an automatic transmission. Which one should I buy, considering both 5-seater and 7-seater options?
Since you are a family of 5 and open to the idea of a 7-seater, we would recommend opting for a 7-seater, as every member of your family can sit in comfort. We would suggest you look at the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga or its sister car, the Toyota Rumion, as they offer a fairly spacious third row of seats and are powered by an efficient 1.5-litre petrol engine.
The ride is also very good, and at highway speeds, it's stable. Though over undulating roads, it does have some vertical movement at the rear, but it's never excessive.
I want to purchase a new automatic car for city driving with a budget of around โน15 lakh. Please suggest suitable options.
Since you currently have a Maruti Suzuki Baleno, we would suggest you upgrade to something like the Honda Amaze or the Skoda Kylaq. Both cars come in under 4 meters in length and so are better suited to crowded city conditions.
The Amaze's CVT automatic gearbox is smoother than many AMTs that come at this price point. Especially when driven at low, constantly changing speeds in the city and being a sedan. It will feel like an upgrade and offer you more boot space, too, should that be a requirement for you.
If you don't like the idea of a sedan, you can opt for the Skoda Kylaq, which will offer you a higher seating point and better ground clearance. Also, the automatic gearbox on the Kylaq is a torque convertor, which is the smoothest autobox around.
I am planning to buy the Maruti Victoris petrol automatic (ZXI Plus). The car will be used mainly for daily commuting in bumper-to-bumper traffic and occasionally through narrow lanes. My monthly running is around 1,000km. Does this purchase make sense for my usage?
