Trending Questions on Tata Sierra - Answered by Autocar Experts
I currently own a 2020 Duster AWD and am planning to buy the new Sierra. My car is used occasionally, and when it is used, about 70 percent is in city traffic and the rest on the highway. Could you suggest which engine option would be best suited for me, considering I am coming from a diesel AWD? Also, are the terrain modes in the Sierra relevant to sleet and slush conditions?
Hi, I have a 2017 Ford EcoSport Diesel Titanium, which served me well with hardly any issues. Now, I want to upgrade to a new or used car (open to both) with a budget of 12-20 lakh. Iโm confused between the new or used Toyota Hyryder Hybrid, Tata Sierra, new Seltos, Thar Roxx petrol auto, or new/used Honda Elevate ZX CVT. I recently test-drove a used 2023 Jeep Compass S petrol auto, which I liked, but petrol is discontinued, and itโs only E10 compliant. What do you suggest, wait or buy now?
I am a first-time buyer and do not have much idea about cars. Upon research, I feel a hybrid (petrol and EV) is a good option to go with. My budget is Rs 12-14 lakh, and my top priorities are safety, mileage, and comfort. I feel the Maruti Suzuki Victoris might be the right option, but I am not sure about its boot capacity. Looking at the launch of the Tata Sierra, I am also attracted to its modern features at a similar budget. Please help me decide. Or is there any other option I should be considering?
I have been using a Wagon R CNG for the last 11 years with around 97,000 km on the odometer. I would now like to upgrade to an automatic. My preferences are safety, power and comfort. My budget is Rs 15 lakh, but I can stretch it to Rs 18 to 20 lakh. I am considering the Tata Sierra. Please suggest if there are any other alternatives.
I want to buy a new car. I have shortlisted three cars: Maruti Ertiga, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Tata Sierra. I want a petrol model with a manual gearbox, good mileage, good safety features, and the ability to handle both local and occasional long drives. Please advise.
We currently own a 2018 Brezza and are looking to upgrade. Our budget is around โน15-16 lakh. The car would probably be used twice a week for about 60 km each time, with occasional road trips. We want to avoid a Maruti this time and are aiming for a safer option.
Given that you are looking at an upgrade from a compact SUV like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, it would be worthwhile looking at the larger mid-size SUV segment.
However, bear in mind, then, that you would likely have to stretch your budget a bit to get a good amount of features. We would advise holding off on your purchase for a little longer if possible, as there are several exciting new cars launching very soon.
First is the Tata Sierra, a good-looking and well-equipped SUV whose full price list is expected later this month. Then there is the all-new Kia Seltos, which promises to be larger and even better equipped than today's car.
And finally is the new Renault Duster, which promises the same robust SUV feel and value proposition as the original, with more modern features. All should be big on safety, although official crash test ratings remain to be seen.
I am looking to purchase an SUV for my family. My usage is 1,000 to 2,000 km per month. I am currently considering the Creta SX Premium IVT and the Kia Seltos HTX (O) IVT. Which one would you recommend? I was also planning to look at the Tata Sierra as an option. I am confused about whether to buy the car in December 2025 or January 2026.
Hi. Iโm looking for an automatic car with an on-road budget of around โน15 lakh. It must have a strong safety rating, decent mileage, reliable after-sales service, and affordable, readily available spare parts. Iโm interested in the Tata Sierra but have read mixed reviews about its service and build quality and am unsure how accurate they are. My annual run will be low (about 5โ7k km), mostly on highways. Please advise.
While the Tata Sierra is an impressive-looking SUV, we have yet to drive it on the road and experience its performance.
Also, the price list for all the variants is not out yet, so itโs uncertain which variant will be available within your โน15 lakh budget.
Tata's after-sales and service support does have some catching up to do in comparison to Maruti and Hyundai. If you really liked the way the Sierra looks and what it offers, it would be worth waiting for.
However, if it does not turn out as per your requirements, the Mahindra XUV 3XO in AX5 L variant is very good. It has a smooth powertrain and a good feature list, along with a spacious rear seat and low maintenance costs.
I want to buy a new petrol automatic SUV in the next 2โ3 months. Iโm deciding between the Tata Sierra, Maruti Victoris, Honda Elevate, and Toyota Hyryder. My driving split is roughly 70% city and 30% highway. Top priorities are passenger comfort and safety, with modern tech, low maintenance, and decent power. Which of these four is best for my needs?
Out of all the options you've listed, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris seems to be the best fit for you.
Since you drive majorly in the city, you'll appreciate the Victoris strong hybrid's refinement and efficiency, and it comes feature-packed with things like a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats and much more.
The Victoris is also comfortable for four passengers, and being a Maruti car, it'll be easy and affordable to maintain as well.
The Victoris has also received a full, 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP. It's worth noting, however, that we're yet to review the Tata Sierra, so stay tuned to our channels.
